Dynamic Engine Testing
Some engine suppliers feel that "crank testing" or "leak-down testing" an engine is adequate. Dynamic testing, that is, actually starting and running the engine on a test bench, is by far the best way to test an engine. Every used engine and rebuilt engine is hot-run tested, compression tested, and oil pressure tested. Your engine is test run on natural gas rather than gasoline to make sure that it burns clean. Dynamic testing like this also allows us to make sure that your engine runs quietly. After your engine is cleaned in our environmentally friendly "closed loop" system and tested, it's bagged and crated for shipment. Every used or rebuilt engine gets thoroughly tested one way or another. We want to do this testing for you and not have you do it at the time you install your engine.
